We are looking for a DevOps Engineer in Paris (La Défense) to join our tribe dedicated to build the most resilient and innovative products to connect energy world through markets and support the energy transition.

Global Energy Management (GEM) is one of ENGIE’s Business Units. We deliver services in supply and logistics management, asset management, risk management, market access management, while contributing to the market understanding, design and efficiency and developing market solutions to accelerate the energy transition.

You will join GEM-IS, the team in charge of designing, developing and operating enchanting technological solutions for GEM and its customers. Organization

While GEM continues to move forward with its transformation, there is still a gap between development teams, infrastructure & operations.
In this context, GEM IS top management has started a DevOps initiative through the participation of DevOps engineers to infuse this culture on selected projects and progressively rollout Devops practices across GEM’s delivery centers.

 
Role
·  Integrate GEM’s new projects and product teams in the implementation of DevOps practices and actively participate in overall success of each project.
·  Contribute to the core DevOps solutions and assets such as IaC
·  Participate actively into the transversal DevOps community within the group, take part of the tools construction that will help the organization to improve efficiency through automation thus delivering business value faster and with better quality.
Main activities

Here are the main areas of focus expressed through the participation in GEM product development:
·  Standardizing and automating environment provisioning in order to simplify and speed up delivery
·  Implementation of CI / CD pipelines
·  Solution Architecture design
·  Full Integration in the agile teams (scrum ceremonies) of the project
·  Leverage cloud solutions to streamline the deployment of both cloud native and IaaS solutions
·  App Performance Monitoring & telemetry (for example logging exploitation for tools such as Splunk)
Grow GEM’s DevOps Community and overall adoption of DevOps practices: Participate on growing the maturity and adoption of DevOps practices within GEM in the areas below :
·  Shared toolbox, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), App Performance Monitoring & telemetry, Load Testing & Auto-Scale, Automated Environment De/Provisioning (known as Build and Destroy), and Configuration state management (such as Chef).

Your profile

 

Experience

· 
Master degree in computer science

· 
We are looking for developers with an interest in deployment and systems operations or systems administrators with a passion for scripting and coding.

Technical knowledge

· 
Experience in one or more Programming languages: C#, Powershell, Javascript, Ruby, Python

· 
Proficiency in several DevOps Practices: CI/CD, IaC, Telemetry/Monitoring

· 
Expert in one of the following :

· 
TFS or VSTS (CI/CD, Release management, build agents)

· 
Azure cloud (template ARM)

· 
DSC or Chef (cookbooks, receipes)

 

Behavioral skills

· 
Strong Communication skills and “Working together as a team” are important skills

· 
Member of the Holacratic Circle for DevOps, will have a large autonomy to develop and deploy those technologies with the Dev Teams

Languages

· 
French: fluent

· 
English: fluent

Working place : Paris
