ENGIE are recruiting for a Debt Recovery Co-ordinator (x4) to be based in Leeds (LS12 1BE). This is a 6 month fixed-term contract which involves working full-time hours. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.

Purpose of the Job

Working with 9 colleagues, the post-holder will be responsible for the management of overdue debt through the internal and external disconnection process.

Key Accountabilities

Start of process by informing customers by letter of the intention to disconnect

Liaise with the external agents on a daily basis if required

Raise paperwork for payment plan requests and monitor the payment plans

Manage the warrant process

Manage customers with regards the booking of the external agents for power and gas within the 15 working day timeframe

Ensure the disconnection tracker is kept fully up to date at all times

Ensure disconnection notes are added to the customer's account

Manage the disconnection process on the day

Pre-emptive call to customer prior to disconnection to encourage payment of debt

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills & Experience

Essential

Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks / priorities simultaneously

Proven ability to produce accurate work under tight deadlines

Excellent telephone manner to handle customer telephone calls on a daily basis

Strong communication and negotiation skills to communicate with customers and agree the best outcome for the individual and the business

Strong people skills to work with colleagues at all levels and difficult customers

IT literate in MS Office in particular Word, Excel (including the ability to use Vlookups or the ability to learn about them quickly) and Outlook

Desirable

A Level educated or equivalent

Previous experience of working in a Collections department

Knowledge of the energy industry
