WHAT WILL BE YOUR ROLE

 

Organization

 

The Credit Risk Department, part of the Risk Department, includes 3 teams: Anti-Money Laundering, Credit Risk Analysis and Reporting.

 

 

Role

 

As part of the Credit Analysts team, we assess the creditworthiness of GEM’s counterparts (rating), participate in the negotiation of the commercial contract (specific credit clause, financial covenants and payment terms) and calibrate credit limits.

After contract sign-off, we control the respect of both the credit limits and the contract credit clauses (eg: monitoring of the respect of financial covenants).

The economic environment is also key and needs also to be followed.

 

 

Main activities

 

·  Credit assessment of counterparts in close collaboration with the Front Office teams and the different poles of the Credit Risk department
·  Presentation of requests to Credit Risk Management and to Committees
·  Follow-up of credits risks of a specific portfolio (participation  to monitoring and watch of customers' evolution)
·  Participation in the development of customer relationship before contract signing: analysis of Front Office's need, study of the customer's profile, in order to improve knowledge of the customer
·  Proposition, negotiation of credit documents and clauses of netting contracts with customers, in collaboration with the legal department
·  Analysis and follow-up of portfolio's exposure in terms of counterpart risks, credit lines management, and approval of Front Office's transactions/contracts
·  Understanding of the risk calculation methodology
·  Participation to company's transversal projects

 

YOUR PROFILE

 

Education & professional background

 

·  You have a Master level with major in Finance (Corporate Finance, Accounting, Economy) or an equivalent experience
·  You have at least 2 years of relevant experience in a Credit Risk position, ideally in a trading or banking environment
·  You dispose of strong analytical skills and can complete financial analysis.
·  You have a good knowledge of MS office tools
