Job description

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

A person employed as a Direct Purchasing Buyer will participate actively in the process of initiating and completing the company's strategy in purchasing of direct materials.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

·  Responsible for the DM purchasing activity in the factories for the assigned components/service
·  Developing good relationships with preferred suppliers
·  Leading RFQ activity in order to ascertain the best products and suppliers in terms of best value, delivery schedules and quality;
·  Optimization of supplier base
·  Project management
·  Implementation of specific purchasing procedures in relation to business needs and priorities
·  Measuring and tracking performance of the costs for given area
·  Keeping right up-to-date administration: price index management, manage billing discrepancies in cooperation with central accountancy
·  Cost modeling projects
·  Supplier preparation that meets the plants requirements regarding quality, timing, capacity, inbound logistics set-up
·  Supplier performance follow-up: ensure that the suppliers meet set agreements according and take corrective actions if necessary.
·  Selection of preferred suppliers in co-operation with the central purchasing team
·  Responsible for negotiation in case of local suppliers and support for negotiation in case of common supplier with other factories
·  Creation and implementation of saving actions
·  Ensure execution of the commodity strategies, sourcing activities and relevant information.
·  Ensure respect of agreements and procedures
·  Manage/implement advance purchasing activities linked to new components
·  Place tools and samples order, follow-up on timing and give early warning in case of need
·  Suggest and execute saving and quality improvement actions
·  Ensure that decisions happen in the best interest of Electrolux and get executed
·  Review and monitor supplier performance against contracts and agreements.

Desired profile

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

·  Ability to work with a global base of suppliers and multi-site (branch offices)
·  Knowledge of the local (Poland) supplier base
·  Minimum 3 years of relevant experience: purchasing, engineering, sales, supply chain, controlling
·  Experience in a manufacturing company is an advantage
