EDF Trading Paris office - Optimisation and Trading (O&T) Analytics Team
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Software Engineer to join the O&T Analytics Team in Paris. The team (6 people) is responsible for developing complex market forecasting models and asset optimisation tools to support EDF Group portfolio optimisation and EDF Trading activity with a focus on European Short Term power markets. The team works in close proximity with the trading desks.
This position will be in charge of the design and development of full stack O&T applications having a strong impact on the business. We're looking for a motivated individual with excellent technical skills and an interest in Energy and/or Trading.
Create decision making tools and visualisations for traders and analysts.
Work with internal clients to design and develop the best possible applications.
Design & maintain server architecture of optimisation models.
Maintain market data loaders that support downstream Optimisation & Trading processes.
Work with the IT line management team to develop a scalable technology platforms over the long term.

Experience and technical requirements
2 to 3 years' experience as a Software Engineer.
Very strong programming skills (demonstrated in Java, Python or others)
SQL, NoSQL database (MongoDB)
GIT, Maven, Jenkins, Docker
Educated to degree level with a high computer science component
Hands-on approach, flexible and positive attitude
Ability to understand business context
Interest in Energy and/or Trading
Attention to detail and strong focus on accuracy of information
Strong work ethic
Excellent communication skills
Team player and customer oriented
French and English language skills
