DXC are building a Digital capability at Chorley. Offering creative, rapid and cost efficient solution's to a multitude of business and process needs; this ‘thinktank’ approach is coming to the North West. Our technical role offers you the chance to use your existing Microsoft skills and grow your knowledge in a multitude of environments and technologies in platforms, micro-services, cloud migrations, CI/CD pipelines, containers, automation, robotics and some of the best Dev Ops Tooling whilst working alongside some of the most talented people inDXC.   

Responsibilities

The primary responsibility for this role is to design and implement Workplace, Mobility, Cloud or Platform services with a Microsoft foundational layer.  You will apply your skills to:

·  Produce innovative and robust designs for our services offerings
·  Utilise a broad spectrum of technology expertise to produce part or all of the technical solution for our clients.
·  Apply depth and breadth of technical knowledge and be individually responsible for the design and delivery of technical components using a ‘micro-services’ approach.
·  Work collaboratively with our Customer teams directly to ensure timely delivery with our end users in mind at all times
·  Contribute to knowledge tools and communities and ensure micro-services can be re-used as a template for other engagements.

Core Skills and Experience:

·  Windows Server experience in designing and engineering solutions.
·  Understanding of virtual and physical server infrastructure
·  Experience of working in Projects
·  Strong Windows administration, hardening and troubleshooting experience
·  Multiple Windows Server and Windows 7/10 operating systems
·  Excellent written and oral communication and technical documentation skills
·  Some experience of working within Agile Project Management methods

You'll have some of these skills and will get exposure to the rest:

·  System architecture exposure on large scale deployments
·  Automation/Scripting knowledge and experience – PowerShell/VBscript/Ansible/Jenkins etc

·  Experience with technologies
·  DNS and DHCP
