SUMMARY:
Junior Accountant Prague performs supportive accounting work relevant for Accounts Payable (AP) and Receivables (AR), including vendor data maintenance and vendor query handling. Junior Accountant is responsible for analyzing and verifying status of AP&AR including transfer (bank) accounts processing providing information to company staff regarding accounting practices and procedures, and reconciling particular accounts. The role also prepares supporting documentation for year-end audit and performs related work as required.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Preparing vendor, payments and transfer entries into appropriate accounts
• Communication with clients, banks and vendors (via phone /e-mail)
• Checking departmental approvals and invoices monitoring, preparing advance payments
• Maintaining accurate financial records and preparing clear and accurate reports for informational, auditing
and operational use
• Reconciling accounts, records, reports and journals
• Reviewing and verifying accuracy of data
• Organizing own work, setting priorities and meeting critical deadlines
• Communication to interact effectively with co-workers, managers
• Influence other departments to follow the internal processes
• Provide feedback for the local controlling department in order to ensure consistent reporting across
a matrix structure
• Processing of AP&AR and bank accounts following internal rules and principles

• Capable of working independently and exercising good judgment in dealing with issues
• Well developed interpersonal skills; a good communicator, with well developed oral, written and presentation skills
• Understanding and knowledge of financial accounting (CZ;IFRS)
• Advanced knowledge of MS Excel
• Knowledge of SAP is beneficial
• Previous experience in accounting is a big advantage
• Economics university degree / secondary education
• Excellent spoken and written English
