Introduction:
Delacre is a leading branded biscuits business producing some of the famous and loved Belgian fine biscuits. The history of this premium brand dates back to 125 years ago. Delacre has 2 production sites located in Nieppe (France) and Lambermont (Belgium).
The range includes favourites such as Délichoc, Cigarettes Russes, Biarritz, Marquisettes, Tea Time Assortments ... The range of products covers biscuits, savoury products, monopacks and assortments. The core markets are France and Belgium but Delacre is also present in international businesses, which serves consumers in Germany, North America, Canada and others.
The Delacre Trade Marketing Team is a focused and dedicated team with the ambition to be seen as the expert of the category and the shopper by our customers and a source of competitive advantage by our business.
Competitive advantage for the Delacre Trade Marketing Team comes from deeply understanding consumers, customers, competitors and shoppers; and objectively translating this into simple insight-based category and commercial propositions that differentiate the customer and unlock incremental volume and value for the biscuits category and Delacre.
As Trade Marketeer you will be mainly accountable for the trade activation: by designing and executing cost-effective, differentiated and tailored shopper marketing activity.
Tasks and responsibilities:
- You develop, manage and implement the promotional plan of all in-store activities, including tailor made promotions (planning, budgeting, production). You work closely with the Promo Planners in order to guarantee a smooth process
- You manage the physical creation and procurement of in-store activation materials required by customers. (i,e Sampling, POS materials...)
- You monitor and report on the impact of the retail activations and shopper data (i,e customers, channels and shopper segments) and build some actionable recommendations.
- You offer support to the Category Manager on projects, enabling optimal visibility in shelf.
- You interact with the sales team (KAM and field) to turn the “selling stories” into sales tools to effectively present the brands, the products and the marketing initiatives to their customers.
- You support the Marketing team to optimize the execution of the marketing strategy and the plan, and build the product communication (B2B and B2C magazines)
Skills and qualifications:
Qualifications:
- University degree in marketing or comparable is needed
- Master and or any other further qualification in marketing / trade marketing is appreciated
Experience:
- You have a first professional experience within (trade) marketing or category management, preferably within consumer goods or retail.
Knowledge:
- Understanding of Retail
- Commercial acumen and a proactive attitude
- Result oriented and strong analytical skills. You can turn data into actionable insights. A first experience with Nielsen would be a plus.
- Team player / good relational
- Knowledge of most important IT tools is needed (MS Office)
- Languages: fluency in French and English (written and spoken)
