Le Métier

Integrated in the Footwear Industrial Division, a team of 60 people dedicated to the shoe conception and production , you will be Testing Engineer in the lab team (6 peoples).

The shoe is a challenging product with variable materials (from polymers to textile or leather) and processes that lead to wide possibilities for conception.

You will work for all Decathlon Passion Brands and Sports , in order to develop mechanical lab activities . The goal of the lab is to support all the brands to characterize their products in terms of quality and product benefits . A strong link with the use of the product is done through the common projects with Decathlon Sports Labs (dedicated to human body/product interaction).

Mission:

The main goals of your job will consist in :

• Developing new test methods in order to:

·  Make the link between the use and the Product Benefit measurement.
·  Check that the shoe properties or its components correspond to what it is expected
• Be a technical support for material characterization, especially for Sole Comp&Tech Team.

• Make the link with Finite Element Simulation team.

• Performing tests, especially in order to help quality problems solving

• Ensuring that our lab network is reliable .

• Ensure communication about our lab , with our customer, our network and our partners.

Located in Lille Metropolis (Wattrelos), you will be required to travel abroad regularly (Europe & Asia)

Profil recherché

Le Profil

You are graduated from engineering school or equivalent (Bac+5).

You have knowledge in material characterization, especially polymers.

You have lab field affinities/experiences (metrology, uncertainties, quality management).

Knowledge in numerical simulation will be really appreciated.




You are rigorous and you take initiative to solve everyday issues.

You like teamwork and sharing your experiences.

Your ability to communicate, to analyze and take decisions will be advantages to your success

and your satisfaction in this job.

Your are comfortable with computing tools, Matlab is a plus

You like sports and practice one of them.

 

You speak English.
