Job description

Are you ready to take on a global internship in which you support the Sustainable Procurement Program within Danone? Then do not hesitate and click the “Apply now” button!

About the Internship:

You will become part of the Global Purchasing Team, located in Schiphol (NL), in which you will support the Sustainable Procurement Program (RESPECT) at group level . For this program, we require our suppliers to take a self-assessment questionnaire on the SEDEX platform – and for some of them to undertake a social audit. During your internship, you will be supervised by the Global RESPECT Coordinator.

As the Sustainable Sourcing Intern, your main responsibilities will be divided in two parts.

·  Manage part of the RESPECT program scope , which will involve:
·  Monitoring suppliers' sustainability progress using the SEDEX platform (incl. risk assessment, action plans and audit procedure, and assisting buyers in their supplier management /sustainability issues);
·  Reporting and communicating program results on the progress to the (Global) Procurement teams, Procurement Board and Headquarters.
·  Working with key data – making it comprehensive, visual and meaningful with the ultimate goal of driving high levels of sustainability compliance among suppliers of the divisions;
·  Encouraging the awareness for sustainable sourcing both at corporate and local organizational level.
·  Create an action plan to leverage the supplier information collected through the RESPECT Program to help us build the most appropriate strategy . You will need you to consolidate the gathered information, and conduct analysis identifying the key topics, trends and actions using the UN Guideline Principles to frame the focus of analysis.

What's in it for you?

Working within a highly dynamic environment, dealing with many stakeholders at the same time -- you will have hands-on experience on the sustainability topic being addressed and continuously growing at Danone through opportunities and challenges that arise. As it is no longer a side issue, sustainability needs to be embedded in business decisions and you can play an important role in this!

So, who are we looking for?

You are a self-starter capable of operating independently and be proactive within guidelines. You have strong analytical skills with an eye for detail by being an expert in using Excel . Also, you have no issue to work in a matrix organization in which you have the ability to adapt and be resilient to the dynamic environment . Lastly, you have strong networking and communication skills to be able to reach out to different stakeholders from all levels.

There are also some hard requirements that you should meet:

·  You are enrolled as a Master student in the area of Business Administration/Sustainability/ Environmental Sciences/Human Rights for the whole duration of the internship;
·  If you are a non-EU citizen, you need to be enrolled at a Dutch university
·  You are fluent in English – oral and written;
·  You are available to start in October 2018 for a duration of 6 to 12 months;
