As Market Controller for one of our biggest markets, the Dutch market, you are the co-pilot of the business performance of the market. You are the right hand of the Commercial Director of The Netherlands and, together with your team, provide financial insights to help and challenge the business in making decisions.

You lead the Dutch financial performance animation by ensuring a robust forecast process, completeness of books and applying the internal control rules. You support the Top Line teams and Market Director in defining the market strategy by customer & brand, and challenge the consistency of allocation and execution with this strategy.

You report directly to the Finance Director of Alpro, are the team leader of 1 Top Line Controller, and are based in Alpro Breda, The Netherlands.

About the job

·  Lead Market performance animation through processes: forecasting process, recommendation for the best resource allocation for customer and brand activation based on consistent KPI’s (e.g. uplift, ROI of promotions and media, etc.), you identify and track risks and opportunities and co-lead initiatives.
·  Ensure completeness, accuracy and timely delivery of Financial reporting: Together with your team, you ensure accurate management information to the Commercial Director and the team with regard to financial business insights: drivers of growth, variance analysis, margin analysis, analysis of opportunities and risks, investment analysis, efficiency gains, etc.
·  Recommendations & advice : You support the market’s product innovation pipelines by validating business cases. You support the free cash flow initiatives in the market by sharing knowledge to the Accounts Receivable team. You formulate recommendations and concrete action plans and monitor the realization & progress. You challenge the team and support it with financial advice and financial foresights in their ambition and initiatives in line with the strategy of the company.
·  People management : You are a true people leader, great at coaching and engaging your team member (Top Line Controller). You guide towards delivering and executing the team objectives, in order to ensure business continuity and achieve the finance objectives.
·  Performance : You are responsible for the financial control and the monitoring of the performance of the team.
·  Knowledge transfer : You participate in the continuous improvement of financial processes and systems, participate in local team meetings, business reviews, etc.

About you

·  You hold a Master Degree, preferably in Economics or Finance (e.g. Commercial Engineering, Statistics, Business Administration, Accountancy, etc.).
·  You have at least 5 years of experience in Finance, preferably in Controlling, Consultancy or similar function in a Food or FMCG company.
·  Experience with people management is a big plus.
·  You have an analytical mindset and are a true problem solver.
·  You are an advanced Excel and PowerPoint user.
·  You have strong presentation, communication and interpersonal skills.
·  You are customer oriented, stress resilient and a constructive business partner.
·  You are fluent in Dutch (oral and written). Any other language is an asset.
