About the Job

You will be part of the Global Cycles and Procurement team within the department that is responsible for the global sourcing of non-dairy ingredients, working closely with all divisions: Essential Dairy and Plant Based products, Waters, and Specialized Nutrition. Youwill become part of a team with colleagues who are highly skilled and dedicated professionals aiming to source the required products whilst ensuring our suppliers meet the right level of food and quality requirements of Danone.So, what will be your key responsibilities?

·  Supplier contract management;
·  Consolidating data from an extensive network (incl. volumes and spends);
·  Coordination of key stakeholders – in Quality, Research and Development and our factories
·  Provide general support to the buyers in your team (incl. preparing tools for supplier meetings)

In addition to the above tasks you will have the opportunity to engage in various projects that meet the current needs of the team.

About You

So, who are we looking for?We are looking for a student in a field which gives you relevant skills for the role (e.g. Food Science, Economics, Procurement, Supply Chain). We expect you to be a good networker who is not afraid to connect with different people from various departments and levels. Furthermore, you have strong analytical skills and have high attention to detail. You are resilient , thriving in a dynamic environment that continuously challenges you. You are a self-starter who can work independently while still being a positive team-player . You are a confident user of Excel and PowerPoint .

Next to this, there are a few hard requirements:

·  Enrolled as a Bachelors/Masters student during the whole internship period (if you are a non-EU citizen, you need to be enrolled at a Dutch university);
·  You can start as of mid-June 2020 for a minimum of 6 months (full time);
·  You are fluent in English – written and spoken;
·  Willing to travel or relocate close to Hoofddorp , the Netherlands

You will be part of the Global Cycles and Procurement team,a team of procurement professionals enabling Danone to grow worldwide. Within this team, you will be part of a smaller division which focuses on non-dairy ingredients where you will be working closely with four procurement professionals who have a diverse experience for you to learn from.You will be closely supervised by Marta Wieczorek, Global Senior Buyer of Health and Functional Ingredients.

As our new next Global Sourcing and Supplier Development Intern you will have the opportunity to gain an overall understanding of how a buying team works in a complex environment as well as developing category-related technical knowledge for some of the most dynamic and trending ingredients. You will be coordinating requests with internal and external stakeholders, which will give you a lot of exposure as well as the opportunity to develop your stakeholder and project management skills.

We offer a gross monthly internship allowance of 450 (HBO students) or 550 (University students) euros per month plus reimbursement of home-work commuting cost in the Netherlands. Please do keep in mind that we do not offer relocation and/or accommodation benefits for students coming from abroad.
