Filling Shift Leader

As a Filling Shift Leader, you will be responsible for leading the Filling Team to manufacture the planned volumes while meeting the SQCDMN (Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Motivation & Nature) requirements during shift.

About the job

As a Filling Shift Leader, you will be doing the following activities:

SAFETY

·  Improve the safety awareness, behavioral safety of the Production Team and housekeeping in coordination with concerned departments and ensure the implementation of the Danone 13 WISE elements (work in safe environment) within Production area.
·  Investigate in all unsafe incident and accident and shear the root cause & corrective and preventive actions should take.
·  Responsible to give weekly safety session for his team.
·  Develop appropriate safety action plans for daily KPIs’ results and leading daily review meetings with peer group and superiors.
·  Create risk assessment system for each area in process and by activity.
·  Implement the LOTO system in process area. And ensure we are in right track.

Quality

·  Ensure the implementation of all Food Safety, GMP’s, AIB and HACCP processes and procedures in the day to day operations during shift.
·  Ensure all quality parameters are met, and that out of specification is analyzed and reduced by addressing root cause.
·  Ensure all incoming materials quality parameters are met, & address all out of specification to material quality manager, also develop solutions & action plans with suppliers to prevent re-occurrence.
·  Develop & implement the Food Safety Planned Maintenance Program to ensure compliance with Danone standards to avoid potential finished good product non-conformities.
·  Lead the investigations in case of unconformity in the product.
·  Lead filling team in the shift to achieve target in all audits FSI, PRP and ISO audit.
·  Ensure all product in A and investigation if found product in B or C.
·  Ensure all action plans related to food safety or consumer complaints are closed.

Cost

·  Manage the finished good losses through daily/monthly monitoring & analysis to ensure continuous reduction.
·  Monitor the milk and Raw material losses, through daily/monthly monitoring & analysis to ensure continuous reduction. And take action to improve it.
·  Monitor Power saving and optimize the power consummation through optimum planning.
·  Monitor the assigned team overtime in accordance with Factory utilization.
·  Monitor the chemical consumption and take action if found any droop.
·  Managing Power saving and chemical consumption
·  Manage the assigned team overtime in accordance with Factory utilization
·  Lead and form Task forces to tackle production challenges that cause high losses

Delivery

·  Implementation of the weekly production plan and administering daily direction setting processes and managing line performance Downtime Tracking.
·  Anticipating and overcoming production related problems, material shortages, equipment malfunctions and unavoidable delays where possible and plan to reduce their impact on the operation.
·  Update the production plan to increase and decrease production with reduction of the time.
·  Improving Operation Efficiency (OE) and Utilization Efficiency (OU) for 8 Filling & Packaging Lines.

Mobilization

·  Lead FDS L1 and FDS L2 daily and the 5S Implementation in the filling Area
·  Prepare the weekly/monthly/yearly PM plans along with the Maintenance Team
·  Develop individual development plans for key calibers in the team, provide a pipeline of potential supervisors/operators as part of the succession planning.

Nature

·  Ensure the cleanliness of the filling Area & the compliance with GMP’s and implementation of master cleaning schedule.
·  Manage the Waste Train Operation in the assigned shift.
·  Updating Master Cleaning Checklist of the Filling area
·  Updating Cleaning Audit Checklist for the filling area
·  Supervise the Factory Waste Management Area & manage the WM third party

About you

To be able to achieve the above and be successful in this role we believe you need to have:

·  Education: Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical engineering.
·  Location: Danone Obour Factory.
·  Languages required: Excellent Arabic & English – spoken, written and reading.
·  Experience: 2 to 3 years of experience in packaging or production role.
·  Computer skills: Excellent in use of Microsoft Office especially Excel and Power Point.
