Danone North America is looking for a Deployment Analyst--Danone North America in their Portland, Oregon manufacturing facility.

Position Overview

The Deployment Analyst reports directly to the Supply Chain Manager and is responsible for overall deployment of finished goods from plant production locations, distribution centers, and customer locations. Will be responsible for developing and monitoring deployment strategies that optimize costs and operational capacities for a specified category. The ideal candidate will possess the skills and knowledge sought below but, of equal importance, he or she will be self- motivated, organized, possess a positive attitude, demonstrate a hands-on approach and be an effective influencer.

Responsibilities:

·  Ensure overall deployment strategy is optimized and system planning parameters are adhered to. Conduct regular consistent reviews of all parameters and maintain database.
·  Review and release daily/weekly deployment suggestions (STOs) to ensure accuracy and consistency.
·  Manage issues and communicate with plants, DCs, Customer Service, Finished Goods Planners and Supply Chain counterparts.
·  Review daily inventory levels at DCs to manage shelf life and customer orders to proactively address service issues and returns.
·  Work with Distribution Centers/Plant Coolers to assist with capacity constraints and optimization strategies as appropriate. Responsible for accurate and consistent data accuracy throughout SAP to provide appropriate mid to long range plans and adjustments.
·  Participate in weekly supply planning team meetings relating to finished good planning, deployment, forecasting and procurement to deliver key KPIs - Service, weeks of supply, loss and damage, forecast accuracy, material, obsolete minimization and sourcing optimization
·  Track and report key KPIs – loss and damage, fill rate, plant customer sourcing, etc.
·  Transportation budget goals
·  Make daily decisions on carrier selection to maximize lowest cost and highest service levels. Use the transportation management system to build efficient loads and build long term relationships with carriers to maximize equipment availability in difficult lanes and take advantage of low price opportunity (lean).
·  Actively engage with Customer Service/Logistics, Coolers, Distribution Centers & Carriers to meet and exceed customer service levels & transportation related KPI’s.
·  Productivity - Researching and implementing cost reduction / sustainability opportunities.
·  Review and authorize all accessorial charges for payment. Keep lean data updated for proper routing and costing. Promptly review any rejected invoices and authorize / decline payment properly.
·  Develop and work with internal & external partners on productivity initiatives.
·  Multiple systems follow up and clean up required.
·  Management of international and domestic shipments.
·  Manage and forecast of supply materials for multiple warehouses.
·  Independently manage multiple projects.

Qualifications

·  Supply Chain experience in Consumer Packaging Goods including supply planning preferred.
·  Bachelor degree in Supply Chain Management/Logistics/Business or related degree.
·  SAP/APO experience
·  EDI knowledge a plus
·  Proficient in Excel, Microsoft, PowerPoint, Word
·  Forklift certified trainer a plus
·  Demonstrated understanding of supply chain processes and safety stock optimization strategies.
·  Demonstrated understanding of deployment practices.
·  Solid communication skills, particularly in highlighting issues and taking corrective action.
·  Ability to set deadlines and key timetables to achieve with minimal guidance.
