ABOUT THE JOB

As a Chemistry Analyst , you will join our Chemistry Lab team of 9 – part of the wider Quality and Food Safety team, located at our production plant in Airport Oaks.You will:

·  Carry out analytical, physical and sensory testing in an accurate and timely manner
·  Handle chemicals and consumables, disposal of chemical waste; safely operating lab equipment, maintenance and calibration of equipment
·  Ensure adherence to methods and procedures as per ISO17025:2017 andtraceability for all work completed
·  Participate in audits, Proficiency studies and troubleshooting equipment/methods as required

Please note – we have 2 vacancies available:

·  Permanent opportunity, working Sunday-Thursday, with the main purpose ofconducting testing in accordance with approved standards.
·  12-month fixed-term opportunity, working Monday-Friday working specifically on our Product Shelf Life & Physical Properties project. In this role, you will be responsible for physical properties testing, formulations, shelf life testing and reporting.

ABOUT YOU

You must have a tertiary qualification in Food Science or Chemistry . You enjoy working in a detail-oriented environment and are always looking for opportunities to learn and problem-solve.

To be successful you will have:

·  Previous Laboratory experience (must-have), familiarity with ISO 17025 and competent MS Office skills
·  Ability to take ownership of your work and drive for results
·  Impeccable attention to details , strong communication skills and ability to multi-task with accuracy
·  The drive, commitment and resilience needed to succeed in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
