Sales Representative

Out of Home (OOH) – Sales team (Groot-Amsterdam)

As Sales Representative, you are part of the NL team that is responsible for the sales of our Alpro® and Provamel® products in our Impulse channels via wholesalers: HoReCa, on-the-go, catering and health care customers. Next to the Alpro® and Provamel® products, the focus of the OOH Team is on building the distribution and awareness of our delicious coffee products range (Alpro for Professionals®) specifically developed and designed for our Barista partners. As Sales Representative you will visit our different clients.

About the job

In this entrepreneurial and booming market with a huge potential and a big variety of customers you will be responsible for a sales district, and act as the liaison between Alpro and our customers. In this role you will report to the OOH Key Account Leader and you will be based at Alpro Netherlands (Groot-Amsterdam).

As Sales Representative Out of Home you add value to our company by:

·  Developing the category of “plant-based food” throughout the sales with customers. You build new and long-term relationships with the customers and strive for a maximum presence of Alpro in HoReCa outlets, at regional coffee brands/dealers and (local) wholesalers.
·  You are our ambassador ! You radiate our image & vision and inform customers about our initiatives considering sustainability and the positive impact of plant-based food on the environment.
·  You are in charge of creating maximum visibility of our products by sharing your insights about the best spots to place our products in stores and HoReCa. You cooperate with the entrepreneurs and barista’s at hotels, café’s, bars etc, you are hands-on and help if needed.
·  You are a mastermind in promotional actions . You spot opportunities and take initiatives to realise local (promotional) activities. You collect orders of central pre-arranged promotions (e.g. for displays, etc.) or influence these promotions to achieve sales objectives.
·  You are our eyes and ears! Your knowledge is crucial to us, so that is why you share relevant field-information with the OOH key account leader and Channel & Customer Marketeer OOH and make sure that your administration (through CRM system) is up to date. You also share info with your customers to help them to bring the presence of our products to next-level.
·  You are able to sell concepts rather than only the products of Alpro. You are seen as a serious business partner by are our customers.

About you

To be able to achieve the above and be successful in this role we believe you need to have:

·  A Bachelor’s or Master degree (HBO minimum)
·  A first experience in a commercial position and FMCG company is a plus
·  Ideally you have knowledge about the coffee category within the out of home channel and a real passion for coffee and the portfolio of Alpro
·  You love sales! You have a true winning spirit to make every day count and reach your targets.
·  You are a pragmatic relationship builder, both with your customers and your colleagues: you have excellent interpersonal skills and are a real team player.
·  You are proactive, enthusiastic & assertive. You are a selfkicking and a selfstarting individual
·  You have excellent communication skills and are transparent.
·  Perfect communication in Dutch and English.
·  You make sure your administration is always up to date.
·  It goes without saying that you are flexible to drive to customers on a daily basis.

This is a highly visible position within Alpro; you will interact with Global and Local Healthcare Nutrition and Consumer Marketing Team, from managers to VP’s and members of our board. This role has no direct reports but you will coach local strategy and insight managers, and more so inspire them with your vision on trends.
