As Manufacturing Controller,you are the financial sparring & business partner of the Site Manager of our plant in Issenheim (FR) and will be part of the site management team. Together, you develop the overall strategic master plan for the site.

In this position, you report into the Sr. Manufacturing Manager, who is overarching responsible for all Alpro plants (Wevelgem – BE, Kettering – UK and Issenheim – FR); and are based at Issenheim (FR).

Together with your manager, you add value by analyzing financial information and by providing advise based on your analysis. You use your financial insights to help and challenge the business in making decisions and for ad hoc analysis and projects which have a financial impact.

As a member of the overall financial community of Alpro and the Operations Controlling team in particular, predominantly based in Belgium, you will have frequent contacts with your colleagues in the central finance departments and other sites.

Your role

As Manufacturing Controller of Issenheim, you are responsible for:

·  Driving the monthly closing process for the site manufacturing costs : As part of the management team of the site, you inform the site periodically about the financial performance; following up on correctness; report on monthly result of productivity projects.
·  The local budgeting of the site manufacturing costs : You build quarterly bottom-up Rolling Forecast (RF) process with focus on reaching the necessary manufacturing productivities; incl. monthly updating the RF.
·  Driving improvements in industrial performance of the site : You analyze periodic variances between actuals and these budgets, and put in place procedures and tools to enable close follow-up by the owners of the different budgetary domains. Together with your stakeholders, you define improvement projects, translate the action plans into financial business cases, follow up and challenge the status quo.
·  Being the point of contact for : You help the business with ad hoc requests, are the local touchpoint for insurance related matters, support in periodic audits & tax questions (taking local compliance into consideration) and investigate quality incidents or costs which might be claimed for reimbursement with suppliers. You are a key contributor to maintain high standards for internal control.
·  Support the constant gathering of capital expenditures (capex) needs and make robust business cases : Support prioritization and prepare the necessary motivation to allow submission of priority requests in CAP for approval.

As a member of the Alpro Operations Controlling Team you will:

·  Perform daily operational tasks in Alpro-wide controlling processes, like calculation of standard costs for existing products or for new product developments or introductions (NPD/NPI).
·  Support yearly recalculation of divisional cost prices based on activity based costing in very close cooperation with the central team.
·  Assist in benchmarks between sites by providing information on your site and analyze differences with other benchmarked sites.
·  Support periodic audits by internal and external auditors, through providing the necessary documents. Assist in the development of remediation for recommendations for the site or Alpro as a whole.

About you:

·  You have a Master Degree in Finance, Economics, etc.
·  You have approx. 2-3 years of relevant experience within Operations.
·  You have strong analytical skills, combining this with communication skills. Bringing the story around the numbers is your second nature.
·  You are a real team-player and you have good interpersonal skills.
·  You have a true growth mindset: you are open, eager to learn and to combine a wide variety of operational & strategic tasks, from a very detailed to a helicopter view.
·  You are accurate and digitally savvy (SAP, excel, etc.); experience with reporting environments like BI-systems or consolidation packages is a plus.
·  You are fluent in French and English.
