The Credit Suisse Low Latency team is responsible for designing, developing and supporting a bespoke environment that meets the needs of highly critical and time sensitive Equities and Fixed Income markets. The markets operate across a 24x7 environment and are located in multiple Colocation Sites globally supporting over 1500+ servers and 500+ Network Devices. The Global Network SME role provides comprehensive and dedicated support for the Network infrastructure supporting the Equities (AES), SMG (Systematic Market Making Group), Listed Derivatives, EFX, Rates and other Electronic Trading business groups. In addition to Global Network Manager, you will be responsible of leading Global Client Onboarding at Colos. In addition to these, you will also be responsible for developing Network Devops automation Ecosystem where you will provide key skills and experience to support a number of initiatives – this role will focus on working through automation and operational support of the Low Latency/HFT/Bespoke platforms. The role will be responsible for a globally distributed platform from many diverse cultural backgrounds. You will be expected to work directly with application development teams in IBIT and front office businesses globally to provide solutions to their complex infrastructure requirements as well as support organizations in infrastructure and applications. The role will require service management of the following services in a global capacity:
As a SME of the Low Latency Network Deployment, Operations and Client Onboarding team, you will be responsible for:
· Global Low Latency Network Infrastructure compose of 500+ Network Devices, 24x7 including critical issues from on-call members throughout the week.
· Build out new Low Latency Network Infrastructure at various colos.
· Leading global onboarding of external clients – Receive connection requests from Business units, select and present various solutions to the client, implement network changes to provide client connectivity.
· Troubleshooting/Fixing various network issues and connectivity problems within network containing 500+ devices. Fault diagnosis and root cause analysis of network devices.
· Maintenance of network devices such as device or code upgrades.
· Market Data and Order Execution Services.
· Providing exchange connectivity to support ultra-fast market data delivery and order execution, within collocations and to the rest of CS.
· Application Latency Monitoring and Reporting Services.
· Ensuring comprehensive operational control and reporting, providing actionable information to optimize the performance of the trading infrastructure. Create/Update procedures and documentation.
· Weekend work will be required on occasion in addition to on-call.
· Establishing and operating CS trading infrastructure in datacenters co-located with major exchanges and ECN, and Electronic Trading Network (ETN) environments in CS datacenters.
· Financial and Vendor Management Service.
· End-to-end process for leading Co-Lo vendor services, project justification and management, financial controls, transparency and accountability with CS Efficiency management teams.
· Operate/configure various network monitoring tools.
· Implementing changes in routing policies, responsible of approving all Network Changes.
· Perform deep packet collection analysis.
· Investigation of abnormal end to end latency.
· Reviewing high/medium risk network changes.
· Taking part in redesigning network architecture, removing legacy solutions, working with newest low latency equipment on the market.
· Provide dedicated management and maintenance for network infrastructure in order to provide maximum performance and availability.

Desired profile

·  7+ years of networking experience in Cisco/Arista based environment.
·  Knowledge of dynamic routing protocols (BGP, OSPF).
·  Excellent knowledge of Layer 2, Layer 3, Layer 4 protocols (STP, PC/vPC/MLAG, CDP/LLDP, VLAN/VxLAN, VRRP/HSRP, TCP/UDP, ACL, TACACS+, SNMP, NTP/PTP, VRF).
·  Solid knowledge of multicast, Firewalls.
·  Experience working in Nexus based environment.
·  Solid knowledge of network monitoring tools (Nagios, Observium, Firescope, Zabbix, Wireshark, Tcpdump, Corvil, Endace, Netbrain).
·  Knowledge of Algorithmic/DMA/HFT and trading platforms and how the trade lifecycle operates a requirement.
·  Good understanding of Exchange protocols and trading systems across multiple asset classes.
·  Experienced with leading vendors for Managed Services from defining SLA's to running project delivery.
·  Understands the front office business in equities and fixed income.
·  Solid scripting skills (Python, Perl, shell).
·  Ability to use a wide variety of open source technologies and tools.
·  Solid knowledge of Unix based environments.
·  Demonstrated high-level client service skills.
·  Remedy or Service Now based Incident and Change Management experience.
·  Comfort with collaboration, open communication and reaching across functional borders.
·  Passionate, great teammate, dedicated, high level of commitment/flexibility and motivated by working in a dynamic environment.
·  Fluent English.
