Job description

The MI Specialist is responsible in delivering the below requirements in support of the Equities Business to meet all local requirements.

This role will require you to:

· Interpret financial information, identify key issues based on this information and put in place appropriate controls and measures
· Track actual cost versus budget, drill into allocated cost to explain to stakeholders what IT related charges include and why, help to challenge allocated costs and drive down
· Perform data analysis and reviews to support APAC Equities Business and management to make required business decisions
· Analyze the data from various sources, consolidate them into a single DB storage, make use of visualization tools like Tableau, Kibana, Apptio to generate various reports
· Automate and remove spreadsheet solutions to reduce operation risk derived from manual, error prone and non-scalable processes
· Support local APAC IT teams through the resource management process including hiring activities, passing on tracking status for hires, mobility, and local planning/forecasting
· Manage local space / occupancy requirements for APAC IT staff in location

Desired profile

·  3-5 years of relevant experience preferred
·  Highly competent analytical and problem solving skills, and sound organization and prioritization skills
·  Passion and proven ability to work with management information, financial figures and mass data
·  Highly proficient working knowledge in Tableau, Database ideally non-relational database (e.g. Mongo)
·  Data mining and MI experience, Excel VBA experience is a plus
·  Flexible problem-solver, open minded to receiving input from colleagues
·  Ability to work in fast-paced environments, share and receive information, knowledge and expertise within the team environment
·  Knowledge of the financial services industry, including its processes and systems, and impacting Regulation
·  Bachelor Degree from an accredited college or university (or equivalent) and/or relevant practical experience
