The Data Quality Management team is in charge of the management and implementation of data related business projects and processes for the whole organisation.

ABOUT THE JOB

As part of the Data Quality Management team the Data Management Analyst will be involved in Data Warehouse Functional Administration activities. The position imply to implement and follow the organisation's data governance processes to ensure fitness of data elements.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Data Management Analyst will have a specialist role that incorporates processes, policies, guidelines and responsibilities for administering organizations' entire data in compliance with policy and regulatory obligations.

The overall objective of a Data Management Analyst is the quality of the data made available to the business teams through the enterprise data warehouses. This includes capturing, documenting and controlling (meta) information for the data elements. The Data Management Analyst will work closely with the Data Analysts of the team as well as the IT data architect.

A Data Management Analyst ensures that each data element of the data model:
Has clear and unambiguous definition
Does not conflict with other data elements in the metadata registry
Has clear enumerated value definitions if it is of type Code
Is still being used (remove unused data elements)
Has adequate documentation on appropriate usage and notes
Has the origin and sources documented of each metadata element

In addition to these responsibilities, the Data Management Analyst will have to make sure that:
Access to the data is authorized and controlled
Processes exist for data quality issue resolution involving all stakeholders (internal departments and external partners)
Quality controls are applied and reported regularly
Data added/corrected to data sets are consistent with the common data model
Versions of Master Data are maintained along with the history of changes

Previous work experience on Data Management projects ideally within an insurance company

• Knowledge of Data Warehousing concepts and processes
