Working Pattern: Nightshift - Tuesday to Saturday 00:00 – 09:00 (Europe summer time) / 01:00 – 10:00 (Europe winter time)
Summar y
Hong Kong has established a Back Office processing hub which provides operational services to multiple CA-CIB sites, focusing on the following activities:
· Trade validation and settlements
· Trades with US counterparties and processing of value day Asian currencies (London booking)
· Processing of late Money Market deals (Paris booking)
· CLS Control Branch function including processing / monitoring the daily settlement cycle
We are looking for experienced professionals to join these teams.
Key Responsibilities
· To provide operational support for the Front Office’s during active time zones in a professional and effective manner
· To process and monitor FX / MM confirmations, trades and settlements focusing on same day value.
· Agree FX trades with counterparts located in Asia, Americas and with those who operate a 24 hour support service around the world.
· Monitoring outstanding payment messages in Calypso throughout the day to ensure that all intraday cut off times are met
· To monitor payment generation and release around the dedicated currency kick off times to ensure that the Calypso STP process is correctly working with any delays or build ups being reported to the technical support teams immediately.
· To manage the cancellation and replacement process in all back office settlement systems ensuring that the banks settlement obligations are accurately fulfilled
· The identification and referral of discrepancies pertaining to trade and settlement details
· The capture of payment messages directly into SWIFT Alliance. (Excellent knowledge of message formats and standard routing methodology – must include MT202, MT202COV, MT103’s, MT210’s and third party payments)
· To have a clear understanding of the CLS process flows for Settlement Members including the I/O swap process and settlement cycle
· To coordinate and implement contingency measures in the event of system failure
· To cover New York shift (08:30 – 06:30 any 9 hours per day) as a backup
