Job Description:
The planar inductor modeling and simulations provide help to engineers to choose between types of core shapes considering a more efficient use of copper, a better use of PCB space and an improved thermal dissipation.

• Design and simulate power converters
• Design and modeling of planar inductors with magnetic core for power converters applications
• Electro-thermal simulations of different core shape planar inductors
• Cause and Effect Analysis
• Use Finite Element Methods to simulate system EMC/EMI effects
• Using Finite Element Methods to performs analysis over different type of magnetic core shapes from both electromagnetic and thermal perspectives
• Investigate impact of high frequency currents on magnetic components and power circuits (Such as the skin and proximity effect, eddy currents, parasitic capacitances, electric and magnetic field, leakage effect)
• Maxwell equations
• Work with external suppliers to qualify magnetics solutions and other components

A mentor will support you to stepwise take over own responsibility after an initial training phase which will familiarize you with our products, tools, processes and organization.

Desired profile

Job Requirements

Job Requirements:
• Knowledge of analog and digital circuit design
• Understanding of DCDC converter topologies
• Simulation of electrical circuits using SPICE engine based tools
• Semiconductors physics
• Background in magnetics, physics and technology of magnetic materials
• Ability to work with test bench and measurement equipment (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, function generators, electronic loads, etc.)
• Self-driven and have excellent communication skills
• fluent in English
• willing to travel abroad

Would be a plus:
• Electromagnetic field modeling using software tools(e.g. ANSYS-Maxwell 3D)
• High frequency numeric computation using software tools (e.g. ANSYS)
• Worst Case calculations using software tools (e.g. Mathcad)
