For our Simulation Competence Center in Timisoara we are searching for an experienced electrical simulation engineer. Simulator used: SABER (Synopsys).Modeling Languages (Hardware Description Language) used: MAST and VHDL-AMS.
Based on your experience and your knowledge you will have the possibility to be involved in some or all activities performed by Simulation Team.

Development of the simulation models for electronics devices considering the data sheet limits:

Physical equations based models development

·  Used to model electronic components with high accuracy (Diodes, BJTs, MOSFETs, Smart MOSFETs, External loads...)

·  Tolerances are applied to the model parameters to obtain Worst Case behavior according with device datasheet limits
Behavioral models generation development

·  High complexity devices (ASICs, Standard IC) cannot be easily modeled using physical equation for each internal component or block -> "behavioral" modeling is used (models with tolerances and temperature behavior)

Electric and electro–thermal simulation with SABER simulator:

·  Precise evaluation for power dissipation using models with tolerances

·  Performing Worst-Case Simulation for electronic design

·  Check the behavior for high complexity and innovative design (e.g. Electrification 48V, E- compressor diver and system )

·  Concept / Design verification and optimization – including improvement solutions proposal

·  Evaluation of thermal stress for MOSFETs

·  ASIC VHDL code test

·  Check the impact of the electronic driver performance to the actuator performance under different operating condition

·  Co –simulation (SABER, AMESim, Simulink ) for system simulation

A mentor will be assigned to support you to stepwise take over own responsibility. Fast learning curve –don’t miss it.
Simulation with accurate models may help to push the design to the limit but not beyond the limit

Desired profile

Job Requirements

·  +3 years as previous HW design experience and/or Electrical Simulation Engineer (Spice SABER, LTSpice)

·  University degree in Electronics / Telecommunications / Automatics

·  Good Electronics knowledge including electronic device physics

·  Familiar with the analytic approach

·  Good communication, team work and learning abilities.
