MISSIONS / TASKS / RESPONSIBILITES
The "Vehicle Simulation" team located in Toulouse is the CONTINENTAL competence centre for the assessment of CO2 emission of a vehicle. Its mission is to perform analyses considering different technologies and drive cycles with models containing all energy relevant sub­systems and components. Typical studies are the assessment of powertrain concepts or new hybrid architectures, understanding of the interactions between the technologies and identification of the synergies to reach the lowest CO2 emission.
The open position is oriented on after­treatment systems and engine development.

The main tasks will be :

­ Development and validation of after­treatment models in 0D/1D for diesel and gasoline engines (DOC, SCR, NOx trap, EGR loops, TWC) using AMESim & GT­Suite
­ Maintenance of a database of components and sub­models
­ Analysis of interactions between the technologies, understanding and assessment of their potentials, investigations of new concepts.
­ Supporting internal activities of the Business Unit (through simulation & measurement)
­ Cooperation with different partners internally (Powertrain, Tires, Chassis) and externally (OEMs, research laboratories)
