Job Description
This intern will support Advanced Purchasing new component sourcing and designtocost activities during product development phase. They will also upport early involvement of purchasing and suppliers covering material cost, supplier sourcing, negotiation and awarding.
Core Responsibilities:
• Support BillofMaterial (BOM) costing during acquisition phase
• Prepare Request For Quote (RFQ) documentation
• Support supplier negotiations
• Followup on Material and Supplier qualification status.
• Support Total Cost Management (ToCo) activities for further cost optimization
• Followup on supplier and material status during product development phase.
• Track bill of material costs in Excel.
• Support on other purchasing activities as needed
Desired profile
Job Requirements
Required Qualifications:
• Must be enrolled in a US accredited degree program
• Must maintain a minimum GPA of a 2.8
• Knowledge of Microsoft office suite; particularly Excel and Powerpoint
• Advanced verbal and written communication
Preferred Qualifications:
• Available to work minimum 30 hours a week
• Pursing degree in Supply Chain or Business
