This is an exciting opportunity for a Development Engineer to join our Celotex team in Hadleigh to develop products on behalf of the Company.
Celotex is the UK brand leader in PIR thermal insulation solutions for building and construction. Celotex strives, through innovation, to continually improve product performance and remain at the forefront of industry progress.
What will I be doing in the role?
The role of Development Engineer involves:
1. Support to R&D activities in specific and defined projects.
2. Make the link between formulations and product structure/properties with the project leader.
3. Production of samples at lab scale to examine performances/properties.
4. Contributing in other development activities such as plant trials and problem solving on the plant with respect to formulation or product performance issues.
5. Communicating technical data in a clear and precise form that enables the business to make decisions.
Who you are looking for?
For the Development Engineer specifically it is important that you have:
- Research experience to understand Celotex products, performance and chemistry.
- Fluent in English (verbal and written).
- To be educated to Master degree in Materials Science or Organic Chemistry with knowledge polymer chemistry.

- To be a strong self-motivator, able to progress projects independently and within the team with fast learning and ability to prioritise goals and objectives.
- Bring a high level of organisation and planning skills.
- Creative with a problem-solving and a hands-on approach to research projects.
- To be able to communicate and interact effectively with a range of people including business, manufacturing, and research managers, process engineers, R&D engineers, technicians, and operators.
