Position Summary:
The Procurement Sourcing Analyst will support the sourcing and purchases of information technology hardware, software, and services, a $50M annual spend for Saint-Gobain North America. The sourcing analyst will also support sourcing, market analysis, benchmarking, and analysis for the real estate portfolio transactions for Saint-Gobain North America businesses. Real estate portfolio spend is $28M on an annual basis. Over the past several years, the role of purchasing in these areas has expanded in order to bring purchasing best practices to these significant functions where purchasing may not have been involved previously. This position will support the Sourcing Manager on all related projects, work to gather needed data from internal stakeholders for sourcing initiatives, analyze bid responses to present meaningful summaries to stakeholders to support decisions.
The Procurement Sourcing Analyst will manage the request for quote process per Saint-Gobain policies, utilizing procurement eTools and collaborating with the sourcing manager. The analyst will also research the market to support the development of the right sourcing strategy based on the organization need and the market indicators. The analyst will summarize bids and present bid summaries in meaningful formats to present total cost which will help the sourcing manager and decision makers.
Responsibilities:
- Support sourcing initiatives for information technology and real estate categories
- Develop internal data collection surveys and templates
- Market research to present category current state and cost drivers
- Research potential new suppliers for Saint-Gobain
- Develop and process requests for proposal using Saint-Gobain eTools
- Analyze and present bid results to support decisions; synthesize data to coincide with requirements/needs of the stakeholders
- Contract process
- Contract closure and archive to Saint-Gobain global database
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Graduated in purchasing
- One to two years’ experience in purchasing, with sourcing emphasis
- Excel/analysis expert level
- Experience with enterprise systems, e.g., SAP
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent command of English, both written and verbal
- Good interpersonal skills
- Team oriented
- Results focused
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Flexible, but organized
- Driving License
