Position Summary:
The Database Administrator manages the daily database activities for the Marketing team. With broad technical knowledge, analytical thinking, and communication skills, this individual will manage our primary marketing database applications for loyalty programs that will enable the marketing organization to confidently make data-driven decisions.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the ongoing maintenance and hygiene of key databases to ensure ease of access and accuracy of information.
- Troubleshoot, research, and resolve application issues in collaboration with IT and external vendors.
- Maintain awareness of industry trends, application best practices, and new features of future software versions.
- Manage integration of databases with key applications and web technologies
- Oversee and assist in the set-up of necessary system objects to ensure continuity of data streams
Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of database administration
- Bachelor’s degree in MIS, Computer Science, or related field; open to entry-level candidates
- Knowledge of C and MS SQL Server preferred
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Ability to establish goals, set priorities and multi-task is a must
- Strong reasoning and communication skills necessary to speak with key stakeholders
- Excellent solo working skills – keeping yourself accountable for both your growth and the quality of your work
- Robust interpersonal skills – collaborating and supporting the team is a critical success factor
