The Saint-Gobain Group has started a strategic project aimed at measuring and communicating the sustainability performance of its portfolio of solutions for the construction market.
In the Nordic and Baltic Delegation we are willing to play a key role in the development of this international methodology and to apply it to our specific context to drive our sustainability strategy. We will be a pilot region for this project. We are looking for a Project Manager to lead this important development.
Poste et missions:
Participate in the development of the methodology at international level and carry the voice of our local teams to the international working group. It will include discussions around the following topics:
?What indicators define the best product sustainability?
?For each indicator, when can a value be defined as good/bad performance?
?How can various indicators be aggregated to provide a global sustainability scoring?
- Coordinate adaptation of the methodology principles to the Nordic context. It will include the following work packages:
?Validate that indicators are relevant in our context
?Develop pilot baselines by applying global rules at pilot level
?Collect internal data from product management teams
- Test the methodology and associated communication materials on a representative sample of products / ranges. The exact perimeter will be defined more precisely as the first steps of the project are completed
Beyond project related tasks you will support with operational activities in the region related to product sustainability measurement and communication (Life Cycle Assessment, health product transparency, etc.) in the region.
Profil:
You have a Master of Science or the equivalent with knowledge in material science, chemistry or engineering. If you also have a degree in project management, sustainability or marketing or have already worked a bit in these fields it’s a plus. We wish that you have environmental, Life Cycle Assessment and /or toxicology knowledge. Fluent English is a must and we’d also like to see you speak Swedish to deal with the local contacts and/ or French to communicate with our French project contacts.
As a person you have the ability to create great engagement and buy-in from various stakeholders. You have excellent project management skills and you of course have a personal interest and motivation for sustainability topics.
