Airbus is a global leader in aeronautics, space and related services. In 2018 it generated revenues of € 64 billion and employed a workforce of around 134,000. Airbus offers the most comprehensive range of passenger airliners. Airbus is also a European leader providing tanker, combat, transport and mission aircraft, as well as one of the world's leading space companies. In helicopters, Airbus provides the most efficient civil and military rotorcraft solutions worldwide.

For the Data Acquisition and Recording Group in Airbus we are looking for a VIE - Avionics System Developer

Our mission is to develop, constantly improve and operationally support a system encompassing various pieces of equipment and software for acquiring, monitoring and storing aircraft data. Our data is used in critical application areas on-board, such as the automatic identification of an aircraft emergency with a subsequent distress signal emission to the ground and the capture of data in the flight recorders (Black Box) for enabling flight incident and accident investigations. Our vision is to enlarge our scope and venture out into the realm of data generation by installing new types of autonomous sensors that help implementing the “Internet of Things” (IoT) on board and support Airbus’ "Predictive Maintenance" services.

Currently, we are running several major system development projects, with close focus on lead time, cost, quality and industrialization. Recently we also started working on our vision by launching an investigation on "autonomous sensors" technologies.

As a support for the various system development projects, but especially for driving further the autonomous sensors investigations we need an additional system developer, in the context of a V.I.E. position.

Are you fluent in English? Would you like to work in a friendly and enthusiastic environment where people help you to settle in and where you can learn a lot about aircraft systems? Do you want to get hands-on experience of industrial projects preparing the future?

If yes, then please submit your application. We are looking forward to hearing from you!

Make every future a success.
