fonction de l’évolution du barème de référence, de la localisation de la mission et des cas d’abattements prévus par les textes)

During your VIE mission you will have the following responsibilities:

You will write quarterly and annual credit reviews based on the performance and risk issues identified in your transactions in the portfolio, including financial analysis of borrowers and guarantors, monitoring of key indicators and comparison to financing cases.
You will analyze events related to the counterparty risk, such as waiver and amendment requests. This will include financial, legal and tax questions to be coordinated with specialized teams.
You will work together with the Business lines, the Risk Department, Back Office and other support units based internationally.
You will also contribute to the compliance with the ECB’s requirements as per Basel 2 / 3 with regards to securities, collateral and guarantees, defaults, losses and recoveries.
When SG is agent you will also represent the lending pool, being the contact person for the clients in the role of the agent.

The VIE assignment in a nutshell:

This VIE in Frankfurt am Main is to begin in October 2019, but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 12 months.
The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France’s eligibility criteria, opened to candidates under 28 and from the member states of the European Economic Space.

Your profile:
Graduate with a Master’s Degree from University or Business School with a specialization in Economics, Business Administration, Banking or Finance
Internships in the area of Financial Analysis, Audit, Corporate Finance or Loan Portfolio & Risk Management would be desirable
Perfect knowledge of MS Office
Fluency in English and an intermediate level in German (preferably) or French would be an advantage.


In terms of knowledge and experience, you will obtain expertise in:
Portfolio & Risk Management in Structured Finance within different fields
Global operations within an international bank
Loan structure and Corporate Financial Analysis

Your environment:

Within Société Générale Corporate & Investment Banking, you will join the Global Banking Support Unit (GBSU) department in Frankfurt.
The GBSU team executes a middle office role by monitoring the credit risk bound to the local loan portfolio of Structured Finance deals originated in Project Finance, Export Finance, Acquisition Finance, Leveraged Finance and Real Estate Finance.
GBSU is responsible from the closing of the transaction until its full repayment, performing – amongst others –the review of the legal documentation, obligor ratings, monitoring the financial reporting, processing of waivers and amendments requests. The GBSU Team also takes on agency roles representing the lending pool and shows a good track record especially for complex structured Real Estate and Leveraged financings.
