Coface in Country

Coface started in Asia Pacific in 1995, and currently operates in 13 countries (servicing 14. Coface opened in Hong Kong in 1996 and is currently the dual regional HQ for Asia Pacific (in addition to Singapore), with a team of over 50 professionals based in Hong Kong.

To grow the business we have our own insurance licenses but also have many partners we work with to drive the business. In Asia Pacific, we have a tightknit expert team with over 400 individuals, which are collaboratively working to deliver the best outcomes for our customers.

The three main business development channels are 1) Direct sales initiated by Coface 2) Business developed by Brokers and 3) Partners, which all require different ways of coordination. Coface has a diverse client base ranging from small to very larger multinational companies, which are being services by a separate team called Coface Global Solutions.

The job

The role will be assisting the Regional Head of Operations, Marketing and Communications in delivering projects for Sales Force Effectiveness, Automation, Outsourcing, and Efficiency improvements. It will also include actions related to regional coordination of tasks related to Risk, Audit and Control.

Overall, we will be driving the effectiveness of the Commercial teams in the region, and you will be an integral part of this drive, daily tasks will include but are not limited to:

Assisting with weekly and monthly meetings with all countries to drive business development and tracking business activities and steering regional and group requirements and activities.

-Project managing the set-up of up new systems and tools to improve commercial activities and for clients to be able to do more client tasks by themselves.

-Regionally assist countries with Sales force effectiveness and driving efficiency of commercial teams in the region.

-Be the coordinating person for all Level 1 risk controls, commercial Audit and compliance follow up in the region and making sure, these tasks are completed within timeframe allocated.

-Assist with further development of the Middle Office operations (outsourcing to India.

The candidate

•University degree educated in Finance, Strategy, or Technical studies
•High proficiency in MS Office, in particular Excel (esp. Macro’s) and PowerPoint
•Have a good degree of understanding in Project or Program management
•Experience with Process improvements (Six Sigma or other process improvement courses)
•Relevant experience in automation or analysis of automation preferable
•Attention to details and making sure quality is delivered
•Able to spot causal relationships quickly
•Able to work under pressure with tight timelines
•Pro-active & Energetic, able to work self-reliantly within a hands on environment yet a team player
•Natural aptitude for sales and business development
•Proficient in written and spoken English, any other Asian language preferable but not compulsory.
