Wordpress Developer

Position Description
CGI Federal is seeking a content management developer for a recently awarded role with the Department of Education. Should have working technical knowledge of various content management platforms with an emphasis on Word press. Will be designing new functionalities as well as fixing defects and bugs. Will also be assisting with evaluation and migration to a new consolidated CMS platform on Drupal 8. Will be working with enterprise-scale CMS and collaborating with a large team of individuals focused on delivery

Your future duties and responsibilities
-Develop, create and modify general computer applications software or specialized utility programs.
- Analyze user needs and develop software solutions.
- Develop software or customize software for client use with the aim of optimizing operational efficiency.
- May analyze and design databases within an application area, working individually or coordinating database development as part of a team.
- May supervise computer programmers.
- Assist in the design, implementation, testing and deployment of enterprise-scale CMS (e.g. Drupal, WordPress, TeamSite, etc.) applications.
- Apply complex functionality using scripting languages (PHP, PERL, Java, Python, etc.) to create custom CMS modules.
- Develop, create and modify general computer applications software or specialized utility programs.
- Analyze user needs and develop software solutions.
- Develop software or customize software for client use with the aim of optimizing operational efficiency.
- Share knowledge and assist with training other Developers.
- May analyze and design databases within an application area, working individually or coordinating database development as part of a team.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
- Due to the nature of the government contract requirements and/or clearance requirements, US citizenship is required.
- Must be able to obtain a 6C federal security clearance.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience with Drupal.
- Minimum of 5 years of overall software development experience.
