Position Description
CGI is looking for a Teradata Developer to join the team in Lafayette, LA!!

The candidate will play a technical role in an area responsible for building and providing direction for enterprise solutions and contributing to a technical infrastructure that leverages client's Data Strategy, Cloud Strategy, API & Services Oriented Architecture (SOA) strategy and Data Integration Capabilities. The individual must have experience in Agile delivery methods and have strong analytical, technical, and communication skills.

• Teradata development including triage, design, coding and implementation

• Establish/Improve/Maintain Proactive monitoring and management of supported assets assuring performance, availability, security, and capacity

• Plan and implement procedures that focus on operational efficiency and automation

• Maintains a strong and collaborative relationship with delivery partners and business stakeholders

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
1. Experience in Data Warehousing inclusive of strong knowledge of Teradata SQL and working experience in Teradata Stored procedures/BTEQ scripts.

2. Able to understand existing scripts and experience in writing and optimizing complex SQL queries.

3. Strong knowledge in working with Teradata utilities like TPT, Fast load, Multi Load etc.

4. Experience with loads, extracts, BI/reporting in an enterprise data warehouse environment processing large volumes of data.

5. Strong knowledge of Teradata database development, definition, design, structure, documentation, and long-range requirements.

6. Experience in UNIX scripting on Teradata and SQL platforms.

7. Experience in data analysis, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

8. Good to have Working experience in “Customer Interaction Manger” ( Teradata Tool).

9. Hands on experience in any reporting tool like Tableau.

10. Hands on experience or knowledge of HBase/Hadoop/Hive and Kafka.
