Position Description
CGI has an immediate need for a Systems Analyst to join our financial services team in Reston, VA. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced team environment supporting one of the largest leaders in the secondary mortgage industry. ​​​​CGI is seeking an experienced Systems Analyst to support application cloud transformation efforts.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT

Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field​

Your future duties and responsibilities
• Collaborating with business analysts, project leads and IT team to resolve issues and ensuring solutions are viable and consistent
• Structuring and prioritizing business requirements and communicating plans with stakeholders for review and approval
• Document interfaces between new and legacy systems
• Creating system guidelines and manuals for the organization
• Running training sessions and workshops on system process conducting regular reviews of systems and generating reports on efficiencies and improvement areas
• Maintaining and upgrading existing system as required
• Design new computer systems and frameworks validate changes by testing params
• Troubleshooting technical issues
• Risk migration planning
• Stay up-to-date with current technologies and technical developments
• High-level written and verbal communication skills
• Critical thinking ability and strong problem solving capacity
• Knowledge of data modelling and data visualization tools

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
• 6-8 years of overall Information Technology domain experience
​• End-to-end experience in supporting and delivering multiple digital products from conception to launch
• Experience working on complex technology projects and transformation initiatives
• Experience in moving in house applications to cloud architecture preferably AWS
• Strong background working on Agile projects, preferably following SAFE
• Experienced in using Atlassian products like JIRA & Confluence
• Ability to refine business requirements and perform feasibility assessments
• Experienced in articulating system requirements, system context diagrams, architecture diagrams
• Experienced in drafting high level design and solution for business capability
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to develop and deliver presentations to senior management preferably a Financial products /Markets expert who understands the mortgage technology service provider ecosystem, or have a good foundation in mortgage finance with the curiosity to quickly pick up subject matter expertise​​​
