Virtualization System Engineer

Position Description
The CGI Global Technology Operations Organization is seeking an experienced System Engineer with technical infrastructure, and service delivery. This position will support projects in the Banking, Insurance, Finance sector. The primary focus of this role, working under the supervision of the Infrastructure lead will be to support an maintain the Xen Server and OVM environments.

The position will join the FISG PaaS team supporting a wide range of CGI clients. The right candidate will work with a team of professionals with skillsets ranging from administrative to senior technical experts.

Your future duties and responsibilities
Support the maintenance an upgrades on our Xen Server and OVM hypervisors

Support Automation efforts across the GTO FISG PaaS team

Provide support for project team requirements (e.g. adding resources to VMs, etc…)

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
Must have experience with virtualization platforms, Xen Server and OVM a plus

Familiarity with automation tools (e.g. Ansible) and cloud (e.g. Azure) deployments desired but not required
