System Administrator (Photon)

Position Description
The Photon System Administrator is responsible for supporting the implementation and operation of the project’s DEVSECOPS IaaS and PaaS solutions in the selected cloud provider as well as facilitating the deployment of the Photon software to NSANet on Linux based systems. The System Administrator will also support accreditation and authorization of the DEVSECOPS solution for Impact Level 5 (IL5) and obtain authorization of the selected tools within the DOD Centralized Artifact Repository (DCAR) process.

Your future duties and responsibilities
• Support the implementation and configuration of DEVSECOPS development tools within the selected cloud technology.
• Oversee the operation and maintenance of the cloud environment.
• Support the audit and accreditation of the cloud based DEVSECOPS environment within the selected IL5 cloud provider.
• Support the deployment of the Photon software across the NSANet using approved automated system configuration tools.
• Oversee the submission of the DEVSECOPS tools to the DOD Centralized Artifact Repository (DCAR) for all tools used in the cloud environment.
• Work with project lead to collect and analyze metrics within the cloud environment to support improved performance and reduced cost of execution.
• Support technology/engineering aspects of Program DEVSECOPS solution planning and execution
• Recommending industry-based approaches and tools for instrumenting DevSecOps elements to provide greater visibility, transparency, and awareness related to pipeline bottlenecks, security, and operational issues.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
• The candidate shall have a TS/SCI with access to NSANet and PRIVAC authorities
• The candidate shall have experience administering and deploying software to Linux system systems within the NSANet.
• The candidate will have experience with using NSANet approved tools for system configuration and management (e.g. SIMP, Puppet, Ansible, and CS2 Scripts).
• The candidate will have experience configuring resources and deploying software within commercial cloud providers (AWS/Azure)
• Recommending industry-based approaches and tools for instrumenting DevSecOps elements to provide greater visibility, transparency, and awareness related to pipeline bottlenecks, security, and operational issues.

Desired Qualifications:
• Experience with operating cloud services at Impact Level 5.
• Experience supporting a DevSecOps CI/CD pipeline environment for cloud and on-premises deployments.
• Experience with deployment and configuration of JIRA/Confluence/JIRA Service Desk, GitLab, Artifactory (or Nexus3), and SonarQube
• Experience with the deployment of software to the DoD Centralized Artifact Repository (DCAR)
