Signal Performance and Processing Engineer

Position Description

Your day to day activities
As a Signal Performance and Processing Engineer you are responsible for the performance analysis and signal processing within the space team. You take on full responsibility for our process implementation and improvements. With your analytical and problem solving skills you test and evaluate the processes to locate inefficiencies and make recommendations for improvements to quality, productivity, safety and costs. You will contribute to a large, multi-disciplinary and international project team and have to be willing to travel abroad for training and missions.

Things you need to be successful
You are a natural problem solver and facilitator of change passionate about staying competent with new technologies. You have advanced analytic skills and are a quick learner. You are familiar with satellite control systems, ground and space segment environments or flight operations or spacecraft operations. You have:
• A university degree (MSc, PhD or equivalent) in telecommunications, electronics,
microwave, electrical, aerospace engineering, IT or comparable qualifications ;
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the field of signal performance and processing (satellite,
aviation or aerospace systems);
• Proven experience with SW languages: Java, Python, Matlab.
Desired qualifications
• Experience with digital modulations and radio propagation;
• Experience with communications link budgets;
• Experience in Software and process standards like ECSS, ISO.

Eligibility for an EU Personal Security Clearance at the level of CONFIDENTIAL and above is part of the selection procedure.

Your working environment
As Signal Performance and Processing Engineer you are going to work for our CGI Space Team. Our Space Team acts as Industry to support the European Space Agency (ESA) and the European GNSS Agency (GSA) with various programs in the field of Navigation, SatCom and Earth Observation (EO).
