Position Description
Scrum Master position:

We are looking for a highly motivated and dynamic scrum master to join our growing team. The individual in this role would be responsible for overseeing software development team and working under the SAFe methodology. We are seeking a candidate who has proven leadership skills, the ability to think critically and problem-solve, and a track-record of ensuring project milestones and deadlines are met. Ideally the candidate will be SAFe certified or completed SAFe training and engaged in several Agile programs based on SAFe.

Your future duties and responsibilities
• Act as a leader to our software development team

• Oversee the scrum team and all pre-requisites to scrum team – requirements, data model, design, implementation, QA, and validation of programming code and products

• Create project outlines and timelines and distribute responsibilities to team members

• Facilitate daily scrums, stand-ups, and meetings to monitor project progress and resolve any issues the team may be experiencing

• Shape team behavior through excellent management via the agile method

• Perform reviews on software development team members

• Remove project obstacles, develop solutions with team

• Ensure milestones are reached and deadlines are met throughout project lifecycle

• Build strong relationships with stakeholders, application users, and program owners

• Document progress and communicate to upper management and stakeholders

• Take responsibility for successful product delivery

• Ability to act as a Scrum Master to more than one team

• Experience with metrics

• Ability to lead the Scrum Master Community of Practice

• Ability to fill in as the RTE if the RTE is absent

• Detailed knowledge of and experience with team-level Agile frameworks (including Scrum, Kanban, eXtreme Programming)

• Experience facilitating the Agile Team ceremonies

• Experience with tools (i.e. JIRA Align, JIRA, Rally, etc.)

• Servant-leadership skills and experience

• Very effective facilitation skills and experience

• Effective planning skills and experience

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
The Scrum Master is responsible for facilitating the effective use of Agile (including Scrum) at the team level across one or more Agile teams based on Being Agile in addition to Doing Agile. The Scrum Master is an integral member of an Agile team. Minimum 5 years of relevant experience

• SAFe Agile: 5+ Years

• Scrum Master: 3+ Years

* Advanced Communication & Leadership Skills: 5+ Years

Desired Qualifications:

• SAFe Certified

Minimum Education Required: Bachelors Degree or Technical Diploma in IT with Equivalent Experience
