Position Description
CGI is seeking a Project Scheduler will be joining and leading a dynamic team with a local Sacramento client to implement and integrate a customer relationship and case management solution. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues across the country implementing similar projects and have a mentor to gain experience on CGI’s Delivery excellence in our project processes and methodologies.

The Project Scheduler career opportunity is located in Sacramento, CA. It can also be performed in one of our CGI US Service Delivery Centers: Belton, TX; Lafayette, LA; or Wausau, WI!

Your future duties and responsibilities
Leading the project schedule management effort by developing and managing the complex work plans and templates used to report progress and monitor risk from all stakeholders, and advise management of scheduling issues.

Developing, monitoring, analyzing, and updating the client and any associated or supporting work plans as defined by the State using Microsoft (MS) Project 2010 or later version.

Coordinating and managing work plan inputs to the level of detail defined in the Master Project Plan, including change requests as necessary.

Coordinating the weekly collection and distribution of work plan-related task information (e.g., status, assignments, work completed by staff) and work completed by all stakeholders.

Facilitating work plan development activities, work plan tracking, work plan analysis, work plan reporting, and all supporting work plan documentation.

Collaborating with management to compare status, identify disparities, and provide input to the resolution of potential work plan and resource conflicts.

Ensuring all deliverables, tasks, milestones, resources, risks, and dependencies (predecessors/successors) are tracked in the integrated master work plans.

Performing risk analysis, and identify and resolve critical path and network impact concerns.

Utilizing sophisticated technology tools (e.g., Gantt, Project Evaluation and Review Technique [PERT], milestone charts, other best practices project management techniques) to incorporate different levels of progress to create customized reporting for different stakeholders (e.g., executive level, two-week view, county-specific, contractor-specific, transition weekend-specific).

Ensuring the schedule is in conformance with industry standard, Project Management Methodology (CA-PMM) and OSI Best Practices.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
The Project Scheduler shall have at least five (5) years of experience leading or managing highly complex integrated master schedules and work plans using industry best practices and standards (e.g., Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers, Project Management Body of Knowledge, and/or Software Engineering Institute).

The Project Scheduler shall have at least five (5) years of experience with integrated and very detailed work plans, utilizing project management scheduling tools and techniques (e.g., Gantt, PERT, milestone charts, and other best practices) to document different levels of progress within customized reports.

The Project Scheduler shall have at least five (5) years of experience using Microsoft Project 2007 or a later version, including at least two (2) years of experience using Microsoft Project 2010 or later version, to develop, maintain, revise and report on highly complex integrated master schedules and work plans for IT projects in excess of ten (10) million dollars.

The Project Scheduler shall have at least five (5) years of experience facilitating discussions with stakeholders for data gathering, work plan development and work plan maintenance on IT projects in excess of ten (10) million dollars, including at least three (3) years of scheduling change management and/or work authorization changes.

MS Project Server 2016 and Project Web Access / Enterprise Resource Pool experience extremely helpful.
