Portfolio Scrum Master(PSM)

Position Description
We are looking for a Portfolio Scrum Master(PSM) - The ideal candidate has a strong technical background in information technology management. We are seeking a candidate who has proven leadership skills, the ability to think critically and problem-solve and a track-record of successfully leading PI planning, aligning teams, facilitating transparency across teams and stakeholders.
Purpose of Role
• Facilitates the Portfolio ceremonies, processes, and execution.
• Escalate impediments, manage risks and dependencies between teams
• Assure value delivery
• Drive continuous improvement

Your future duties and responsibilities
Key Activities
• Optimize flow of value through the portfolio by using Portfolio and LOB Kanban Boards, Release Burn-ups, and other information radiators
• Facilitate readiness for Big Room Planning (BRP) by the preparation of the program backlog via Pre-BRP sessions
• Facilitate the BRP event
• Summarize team level quarterly objectives and Portfolio quarterly objectives and publish them
• Assist tracking the execution of features
• Facilitate periodic synchronization meetings, including Small Room Changes, Scrum of Scrums, and PO Sync
• Assist with decision making by facilitating feature and initiative estimation by teams
• Help manage risks and dependencies
• Escalate and track impediments
• Provide input on resourcing to address critical bottlenecks
• Encourage collaboration with Solution/Enterprise Architects and UX Lead
• Work with Portfolio Leader and other stakeholders to ensure strategy and execution alignment
• Facilitate Portfolio Review (aka. Portfolio Demo)
• Facilitate Portfolio Retrospective, using team and portfolio level metrics

• Flow Time (aka. end-to-end feature cycle time)
• Flow Load (number of features with flow state as active or waiting)
• Flow Efficiency (proportion of time flow items that are actively worked on to the total time elapsed)
• Artifacts Owner
• Portfolio Team working agreements
• Agility assessments (business, technology, team

• 5 years as Agile Scrum Master Role
