We’re motivated to improve the state of the art, for our customer, and for other engineers or consumers working on similar systems. Your future duties and responsibilities
The team focus is a shared ownership and drive to achieve our goals. We aim that everyone is involved in Software Development (and testing!) and Operations. We all have direct contact with our customer on our daily basis – the development team can find out and ask questions first hand to understand how to build what is really needed.
You will be part of a team which is jointly responsible for designing, coding, building, testing, maintenance and on-going operations. You will stay up to date by following industry developments, creating prototypes and sharing this information with our customer, local CGI team and wider CGI community. Required qualifications to be successful in this role
Linux experience as a deployment platform and day to day development environment is key along with a strong familiarity with the following core tools: git, ssh, Unix command line, browsers, Bash. You will have demonstrated experience in at least one of: Python, Java, JavaScript as well as at least one of: RHEL, CentOS, Debian, Ubuntu
Deep Linux experience, networking familiarity and experience of Hadoop or distributed computation would be highly beneficial Build your career with us.
