Microsoft Environment / Deployment Admin

Position Description

The ideal candidate wants to work in a highly dynamic and fast paced environment where she/he works closely with our internal and external clients to manage deployments / releases to the production environment. The ideal candidate has strong consulting and organizational skills while having a strong technical background.

Your future duties and responsibilities
• Accountability to assure the release is deployed and support testing in test environments.
• Accountability to assure the release is deployed on time and with minimal impact on production platform availability/performance.
• Coordinate with project teams, Release Management team, testing team
• Review and execute technical deployment guides/instructions.
• Accountable for the execution of deployment guides/instructions in pre-production and production environments.
• Review technical deployment guides/instructions and provide feedback on content.
• Accountable for the execution of deployment guides/instructions in pre-production and production environments.
• Participate and/or lead issue troubleshooting, resolution and document root cause analysis.
• Responsible for the setup, maintenance and support of various development and support environments.
• Interface with project technical leads to plan/coordinate Production deployment activities
• Must be able to participate in weekend deployments

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related disciplines
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server, IIS, Network configuration.
• Foundational knowledge on Continuous Build/Release/Integration as well as Agile concepts and DevOps.
• Nice to Have: Azure DevOps, TFS, uDeploy (or similar technologies), TFS build definitions, TFS scripting and other code-control/deployment systems
• Foundational knowledge of ASP.NET/MVC/Web Services architecture
• Exposure to software development with .NET framework
• Working knowledge in PowerShell
• Expert skill on troubleshooting web applications/servers.

Additional Technical Skills (good to have):
• Working knowledge of UNIX OS and common commands
• Working knowledge on ESB, Jenkins, Maven, AEM.
• Knowledge on Dynatrace, Gomez, Xymon and other platform monitoring software.
• Knowledge on scaleout stateserver (SOSS)
