Position Description

CGI’s fastest growing Business Unit, Energy and Utilities, Telecoms (EU&T) are currently looking to expand its testing services and with that we have a number of fantastic Junior Test Analyst opportunities. You will be working on a large engagement and will gain significant experience to all aspects of test design and test execution.

Due to the nature of the projects you will be working on, you must either hold or be eligible to hold UK security clearance.

Your future duties and responsibilities
As a junior member of the team we will quickly look to train you and get you involved in projects as soon as we can. Junior Test Analysts prepare and execute manual tests and raise defects with the support of a Test Team Lead or more experienced colleague as directed by the Test Team Lead.

You will need to adhere to proficiency in software testing techniques and testing tools.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate a keen interest in IT, and in particular an interest in IT Testing. You will have a willingness to learn and a positive can do attitude.

An IT related or Technical degree would be preferential, but it is not essential. Previous exposure to formal testing in a structured environment would be a nice to have, as would any exposure to UNIX, XML and ALM, but this is not essential.

Experience with SQL interrogation into relational databases (Oracle) and experience in quality assurance would also be desirable.

Experience of working in the Utilities Sector or knowledge of Smart Metering would be desirable but not essential.

A willingness to achieve ITIL and ISQTB foundation levels is important.
This role is based on our Leatherhead office 5 days per week, so you must be willing and able to commute to Leatherhead. There may be occasional travel to other CGI offices, so a flexible attitude is essential.
