Junior Project Manager

Position Description
• Work for a global IT and Business Consulting firm
• Support several small – medium-sized projects for our large enterprise clients
• Diverse role with exposure to a variety of projects such as Business Consulting, IP development, Infrastructure design and transformation
• Contribute to the success of client engagements through your industry and consulting knowledge, leadership and project execution skills
• 6 month fixed term contract with the strong possibility of an extension.

Your future duties and responsibilities
• Lead small IT and Business consulting projects. Ensure the Projects meet all scope, time, budget and quality expectations and achieve Project objectives
• Build client relationships and support business development activities, help to identify opportunities for expansion of work
• Collaborate with clients and 3rd party vendors to plan, sell and implement solutions to customer problems
• Identify and manage changes to requirements, whilst identify risks for clients
• Manage cross-functional project teams and ensure the availability of resources to support the Project
• Attend Governance or Steering Committees and provide status reporting.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
• 3+ years experience managing projects valued at $500k + including scope, time, cost, quality, HR, communications, cost, risk, procurement and integration
• Experience working for an SI, vendor and/or IT Consultancy
• Experience managing projects for Tier 1 clients with complex matrix environments
• Excellent communication, influencing and relationship-building skills
• The ability to identify opportunities and win new work with clients
• Ability to meet tight schedules and cost targets, without compromising customer requirements
• Project Management accreditation beneficial (PMP, Prince2 etc.)
