Junior Network Engineer

Position Description
● Responsible for maintaining the day-to-day operation of the organization’s intranet, extranet, and wide area network; monitoring network and network security systems; and troubleshooting and resolving complex technical problems.
● Understanding of network infrastructure and network hardware.
● Knowledge on implementing, administering, and troubleshooting network devices including WAPs, firewalls, routers, switches, and controllers.
● Understanding of application transport and network infrastructure protocols.
● Understanding of disaster recovery, COOP, and experience providing data backup and restore as required
● Knowledge of Cisco routing utilizing several VLANS over both copper and fiber and strong experience in deploying and managing CISCO network equipment.
● Experience with researching new technologies and recommending technology solutions; interfacing with other technical professionals as required; and ensuring integrity, availability, confidentiality, and security of information systems.
● Must have a valid Secret clearance and possess at least an IAT II level Information Assurance certification, per Federal stipulation.
