Position Description
CGI Federal’s Regulatory Agency Programs Business Unit has an exciting opportunity supporting the federal government. We are looking for a Junior Business Analyst to provide critical coordination and planning support to a high-profile client program. This is an excellent growth opportunity for any self-starter interesting in expanding his/her skills in strategic planning, problem solving, and business process improvement.
Members will be working within a diverse team, supporting a new and growing organization within the government client's IT organization. Selected candidates will have regular, direct client contact with all levels of the organization, so strong verbal and written communications skills are a must. Candidates must be able to plan and track tasks in a Agile/Sprint enivornment using JIRA and have an interest in furthering his/her project management experience.
Members are expected to be team players and support other resources and workstreams as capacity and experience allows.

Your future duties and responsibilities
•Plan and coordinate operations and maintenance events across multiple client teams and programs.
•Prepare and maintain event documentation and artifacts including analysis, playbooks, executive summaries, reports, and user documentation.
•Organize, attend, and participate in stakeholder meetings, prepare necessary presentation materials for meetings and facilitate strategy and planning discussions.
•Document and follow up on important actions and decisions from meetings. Provide administrative support as needed.
•Facilitate meetings where appropriate and distribute minutes to stakeholders and attendees. Lead discussions and events once experienced.
•Participate in team problem-solving efforts, lessons learned and process improvement efforts, offer ideas to solve client issues, contribute to internal process improvement efforts, ad-hoc analysis, and data calls.
•Assist in risk management activities including identifying, mitigating, and escalating risks.
•Develop and cultivate strong client relationships.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
•Minimum 1 year of relevant/industry experience
•A bachelor degree in business or sciences, or comparable work experience
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills
•Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
•Agile or Scrum experience preferred, interest and understanding of the basics is required, as all work streams conduct sprint planning, backlog refinement, and goal-setting ceremonies each month
•Familiarity with the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) to aid in scheduling, planning, and coordination of cross project activities
•Ability to work autonomously, independently, and under tight deadlines
•Must be a team player, able to work in a team environment
•Have a willingness to do what is necessary to manage risks, including potentially monitoring the progress of the build deployments during weekends on limited occasions when planning activities indicate that potential risks require monitoring
•Experience or keen interest in project management principles and methodologies is preferred
•Experience or keen interest in management consulting, process improvement and/or organizational change management is a bonus as member will be positioned on a team also delivering other management consulting services, with growth opportunities present across the holistic team.

Additional requirements: Bi-weekly/weekly full-day client site visits in New Carrollton, MD once clients return to their offices.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Certified Scrum Master or SAFE Agilist or related certification is preferred
-Interest/experience in additional training, expanding skill set, process improvement, organizational change management and/or business development support are preferred as candidates will be joining a growing team account where all resources wear many hats and support multiple aspects of account development and growth
