Java / J2EE Developer

Position Description
CGI is Canada's largest independent information technology services firm and, after 44 years, we are still growing! Working as part of our Global Delivery team in Mississauga, the Java / J2EE Developer will develop web front-end and middle-layer code for a major wireless telecom client.

Your future duties and responsibilities
• Develop software solutions according to technical specifications, established standards and established frameworks
• Ensure assigned tasks are managed and completed per approved schedule
• Produce project deliverables through standard delivery process, conforming to standard level of documentation
• Work closely with internal CGI teams and the Customer to ensure business and technical needs are met
• Provide timely status to Project Manager

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, an engineering discipline, or a related field
• 3- 5 years IT experience developing new custom Java/J2EE applications or improving existing applications
• Knowledge building enterprise class web applications
• Demonstrable experience in the following:
o Java/J2EE web applications
o Spring, REST, XML and JSON
o Eclipse, GIT, Jenkins, Ant, Maven
o Oracle
• Good time-management and interpersonal skills
• Able to work virtually/remotely during the current global pandemic
