Position Description

This role sits within the Solution Architecture (presales) team of Global Technology Operations (GTO) UK.

A technical lead role working within the sales team of Global Technology Operations (GTO) UK. Exposed to all the areas of GTO presales you will be the lead technical architect on large and complex IT infrastructure opportunities and consultancy engagements. To be based at any of the following CGI locations: Solihull, Gloucester, Bristol, Reading, London, Luton, Essex, Leatherhead, Chelmsford, Milton Keynes.

Your future duties and responsibilities
Leading the technical solution you will effectively engage SMEs and 3rd parties as part of your wider virtual team in architecting a technical solution which wins UK GTO new business. You will be able to clearly articulate the value of a technical solution in terms of business value and value for money, both internally and to the client from technical to CxO level.

Being at the forefront of technical solutions and delivery models you will be constantly challenging the norm to enable the architecting of compelling new business winning solutions.

We are looking for technical architects who can quickly understand a clients requirements, have a flare for innovative solutions, be able to write compelling proposal responses, and ensure that the proposed technical solution is assured and deliverable.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
Within the role of Infrastructure Design Architect you will own the development of technical solutions at all stages of a bid. You will ensure that all costs are captured accurately and that all proposed CGI directly delivered services and those by technical 3rd parties are assured appropriately. Being able to be an effective member of a virtual bid team you will also understand and contribute to key opportunity win themes and story-boarding and deploy these themes into proposal responses. Not only will you be highly skilled in being able to solution traditional infrastructure services you’ll be able to solution with public cloud services, and developing your understanding of PaaS, DevOps and Robotics Process Automation and Artificial Intelligence services.
