Position Description

Our team is commissioning a Security Monitoring Centre. Your role will be to lead the on-site engineering for its hosting environment. This role involves managing site development activities, engineering deployments and commissioning for this building extension on behalf of our client. Your future duties and responsibilities
• Contract Management of the hosting environment: you will oversee the work of sub-contractors that are commissioning the building infrastructure systems and services and performing maintenance.
• Technical Management of the hosting environment: you will coordinate all technical and maintenance activities that impact on operations, produce project plans for the building extension, support the Configuration Management activities of the site and update the site documentation (Interface Control Document, Site Description Document, etc.)
• Facilities Communication Strategy: proactive and timely engagement of all affected stakeholders is an important role responsibility
• Quality Assurance: Monitoring performance, managing the risk register and making improvements

This role will be based on-site in Paris, although around half of your time will be spent at CGI’s premises in the UK and other European sites. Required qualifications to be successful in this role
Mandatory requirements:
• Significant Facilities Commissioning experience including sub-contractor management.
• General engineering expertise.
• Technical knowledge of building infrastructure systems and services (Electricity, Air conditioning, Access control and surveillance, Fire systems, Hydraulics, data cabling etc.)
• Experience of commissioning preventative and corrective maintenance/cleaning services
• Proven communication skills and proficient French and English (written and spoken). The working language is English but the role requires interaction with French-speaking subcontractors and stakeholders.
• Capable of picking up new concepts quickly, as the system is large and complicated, working to high quality standards and to agreed timescales with meticulous attention to detail.
• Security Clearance to a minimum of SC Level or a European Equivalent is essential.
